They are seeking a Senior Manager of Paid Social Marketing to lead the execution of their paid social program across major platforms, focusing on strategy, optimization, and performance to drive measurable growth.ResponsibilitiesOwn the strategy and execution of paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, Snap, and emerging platformsManage campaign setup, creative, audience targeting, bidding, budget pacing, and daily optimizationTranslate broader marketing goals into channel-level plans, KPIs, and quarterly roadmapsPartner with the Senior Director on budget allocation and scaling decisionsManage, mentor, and develop a direct report, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting their career growthDelegate effectively to maximize team output while maintaining qualityBuild a culture of curiosity, accountability, and rigor within the paid social teamBuild and maintain a structured testing roadmap covering creative, audiences, bidding strategies, placements, and landing experiencesRun clean, hypothesis-driven experiments with clear read-outs and documented learningsIdentify scaling opportunities and quickly diagnose underperformance before it becomes a budget problemDevelop a creative testing framework that consistently produces winning conceptsPartner closely with Design and Analytics to develop, evaluate, and iterate on performance creative at the volume modern social platforms demandStay ahead of platform trends, ad formats, and creative best practicesUse attribution models, incrementality tests, and platform-native measurement to evaluate true performancePartner with Data Science on experiments, and conversion modelingOwn paid social reporting: weekly performance reviews, monthly business reviews, and ad hoc deep divesSurface insights that inform broader marketing strategy, not just channel decisionsWork with Data Engineering and Data Analytics on tracking, conversions APIs, and data qualityCoordinate with Lifecycle and Product on landing experiences and post-click conversionCoordinate with Partnerships on pricing, tiers and partner promotionsEngage Legal and Privacy on consent, ad policy, and platform complianceManage relationships with platform reps and agency partners (where applicable)SkillsMinimum five (5) years of paid social experience, inclusive of 2 years managing people or leading a channel end-to-endBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience requiredDirect experience managing direct reports, with a track record of developing team membersStrong track record managing seven- or eight-figure paid social budgets with measurable resultsDeep platform expertise in Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager; strong working knowledge of at least one additional platform (LinkedIn, Reddit, Snap, Pinterest)Fluency with analytics and attribution tools (GA4, Looker, Tableau); SQL is a plusStrong instincts for performance creative — what works, what doesn't, and how to brief for itComfort with experimentation concepts: incrementality, holdouts, statistical significanceExcellent communicator who can present results and recommendations clearly to senior leadersBias for action, organized under pressure, and honest about trade-offsBackground in a variety of lead gen marketplacesExperience in financial services categories, particularly insuranceBenefitsPaid vacation timeMedicalTuition reimbursementTrainingCompany OverviewU.S. News & World Report is an American media company that publishes consumer advice, rankings, and analysis.
