[Remote] Senior Manager Network Engineering

The Senior Manager Network Engineering will manage the IT network team, overseeing data center operations and network infrastructure to support business objectives and technology strategy.ResponsibilitiesManage a highly available data network environmentSet team direction, resolve issues, and provide guidance and leadership to team membersAdapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challengesLead the engineering and operations of network technologies, including LAN/WAN, VPN, data center, remote sites, teleworkers, firewalls, and IPS/IDSManage physical installations and cabling for data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, network, and telecom systemsOversee data center facilities, including power and cooling systemsLead, educate, and grow the team's technical capabilities through current- and future-state technology trainingProvide guidance to IT teams and partners in support of audits, network operations, and data center operationsOversee and implement network and data center projects that support business initiativesDesign and implement scalable solutions that support organizational growthEnsure documentation is created, maintained, and kept accurateDevelop and improve processes and procedures related to maintenance, automation, containerization, system testing, and functional validationAssist with technology assessments, evaluations, and product recommendations to support information security and infrastructure goalsGuide staff in troubleshooting issues and supporting systems and IT servicesOversee centralized documentation of the network footprintCreate and update IT standard operating procedures for business servicesMaintain appropriate software and hardware licensing documentationOversee the environment and daily network operationsPartner with Engineering and Architecture teams on assessments, evaluations, proof of concept work, and recommendations for products and servicesManage team on-call rotations and serve as an escalation point for after-hours supportWork off-hours as job responsibilities requirePerform other duties as assignedSkills6+ years of experience as a Network Systems Administrator3+ years of IT operations and related dependencies3+ years of experience with end-to-end system dependencies across infrastructure, systems, data, telecom, desktop, and mobile environments3+ years of experience coaching and leading IT professionals across multiple disciplines2+ years of data communications standards and implementationsWilling or ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotationWilling or ability to work off-hours as job responsibilities requireCurrent CCNP certificationCertifications and hands-on experience with Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, EMC, and related technologiesScripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShellExperience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologiesExperience with OS and application hardening in compliance-driven environments, including DISA, NIST, VA6500, and HIPAAExperience deploying and maintaining business solutions in Microsoft AzureExperience with DevOps CI/CD workflowsExperience with VMware technologies such as vRealize, ESXi, and Workstation ProExperience with Cisco ACI or other SDN technologies supporting the Kubernetes networking modelITIL or other ITSM framework certificationExperience with Cisco UCS and EMC enterprise productsExperience with automation tools such as SCCM and OrchestratorExperience with Infrastructure as Code practices and toolsDOD, VA, or military experienceDOD, VA, or military clearancesNational Career Readiness CertificateBenefitsA comprehensive benefits packageIncentive and recognition programsEquity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements)Company OverviewDice is a job-searching platform for technology professionals.
