UL Solutions is a pioneering company focused on safety science, and they are seeking a Senior Manager of Cash Operations Management and Compliance. This role will lead cash management operations, optimize working capital, and ensure compliance with financial regulations while driving process improvements across the organization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement cash management strategies to optimize cash usageCollaborate closely with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams within GBS to identify and execute working capital initiativesAnalyze cash flow patterns and trends to identify opportunities for improvement in payment and collection processes, driving DPO/DSO improvementsOversee the payment management function, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines (e.g., SOX), and audit controlsManage vendor relationships related to expense systems and banking services, assessing performance and proactively recommending changesReview financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs across managed processesPrepare and present detailed financial analyses and reports related to cash, liquidity, and key expense metrics to senior leadership and stakeholdersDevelop and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, SOX)Develop an execution plan to deliver process performance improvements in collaboration with Global Process OwnersSuccessfully deliver multiple programs and projects that are key dependencies for the overall performance of the organizationManage the performance of all direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback, and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and followedCommunicate and exemplify UL’s Vision and Mission. Lead, promote, and embrace change for self and future team. Collaborate and build trust within the organization and with internal and external customers to meet or exceed their expectations. Coach and mentor employees to do the sameRead and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and adhere to all physical and digital security practicesPerform other duties as directedSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field requiredMinimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting, GBS, financial management or treasury operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership/managerial roleDemonstrated expertise in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimizationExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skillsStrong leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teamsProficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel functionsSolid experience as a lead or participant in cross-functional or global projects, or experience working in multiple functions or regionsAbility to lead a team successfully and create partnerships with the businessStrong customer service mindsetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to identify and resolve issues independentlyAble to manage multiple teams within different geographic regions simultaneouslyTeam player who can collaborate and communicate with people across all levels and functionsMaster's degree or MBACPA PreferredBenefitsAnnual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salaryHealth benefits such as medical, dental and visionWellness benefits such as mental and financial healthRetirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or countryPaid time off including vacation (15 days)Holiday including floating holidays (12 days)Sick time off (72 hours)Company OverviewUL Solutions is a safety science company that promotes safety science through research and investigation.
