[Remote] Senior Manager, Accounting

The Senior Manager - Financial Reporting and Accounting will oversee the company’s financial reporting cycles, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial statements and reports while continuously improving accounting processes.ResponsibilitiesOversee the financial close and reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reportsLead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including variance analyses and key performance metricsReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and controlsContinuously evaluate and enhance accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and ensure adherence to compliance standardsImplement new technical accounting standards and maintain appropriate documentation of accounting positions and policiesPrepare and review audit schedules, coordinate with external auditors, and respond to audit inquiries promptlyOversee timely completion of statutory and regulatory filings, including tax returns, financial reporting packages, and other compliance submissionsPartner with FP&A to align management reporting with external financial results, ensuring consistency and transparencyManage or support ad hoc projects such as system implementations, process automation initiatives, and special financial analysesSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting (required)CPA or CA preferredMinimum of 7 years of combined public and private accounting experience (Big 4, SEC-registered public company, or pre-IPO environment)Proven hands-on experience across major accounting processes (A/P, A/R, Payroll, Cash Management, Fixed Assets)Direct involvement in financial close, financial reporting, and management reporting cyclesExperience with external audits, including preparation of PBCs and supporting schedulesKnowledge of multi-state payrollProficiency in Excel, Word, Google Workspace, and PowerPointStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsExceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyHighly organized, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player capable of working independentlyCPA or CA preferredExperience with Xero, ADP, and Workday preferredBenefitsMedical/dental/visionInsuranceA 401(k) planPaid time offOther benefits in accordance with applicable plan documentsCompany OverviewCredible is a multi-lender marketplace that allows borrowers to receive competitive loan offers from its vetted lenders.
