The role involves overseeing a team of writers, managing editorial agendas, and producing content that enhances Deloitte's brand reputation and client relationships.ResponsibilitiesHelp shape and communicate the priority reporting agenda to senior leadership, ensuring the Reporting Team is focused on the topics with the greatest relevance and impact for the firmPrioritize and triage reporting opportunities to support timely, high-value responses to market events, business news, and emerging issuesWork closely with research leaders to identify, develop, and refine timely articles that connect newsworthy developments to Deloitte research, data, and expert perspectivesCollaborate across industry and domain teams within R&I to identify opportunities and frame compelling narratives grounded in Deloitte's insights and expertiseEnsure the rigor and credibility of reporting publications by questioning assumptions, testing conclusions, validating claims, and applying precision in language, data usage, and framingIdentify client-relevant topics where immediate response is needed and where Deloitte should join or lead the marketplace conversation around business implicationsManage a dynamic pipeline of news-driven publications and assign work across the team to support timely coverage across multiple content types, including:Brand journalism that synthesizes internal research and external developments into timely, data-driven business analysisIdea testing and research previews that help assess market interest in emerging topics and early-stage research themesInternal news briefings that provide data-driven perspectives on breaking developments for internal stakeholders and practice leadersLead coordination and curation of cross-industry and industry- or sector-specific insights to support internal and external reporting outputsManage reporting processes and projects to help ensure outputs are well conceived, structured, high quality, and aligned with business and audience needsFormulate tactical business recommendations for executive audiences and help shape reporting outputs that are relevant, differentiated, and actionableLead and mentor a team of writers, supporting skill development, performance, and career progressionProvide editorial guidance and coaching on language usage, writing style, storytelling effectiveness, and best practices in audience-focused content developmentContribute to the broader thought leadership community within Deloitte by sharing ideas, best practices, and approaches that strengthen collaboration across research professionals and client practice teamsWork closely with Deloitte Insights editorial and production teams to steward projects through the full content development process and coordinate with design, marketing, and other internal teams to align expectations and ensure timelines are metFoster a collaborative, high-performing team environment that supports agility, quality, and continuous improvementSkillsBachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, literature, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in writing, editing, and copyediting content in American EnglishPrior experience producing business-focused, executive-ready contentPrior experience and ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnaround times simultaneouslyPrior experience and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a larger, multifunctional, virtual team environmentPrior experience in business journalism, publishing, thought leadership, or strategic communicationsPrior experience with corporate thought leadership and global, cross-industry contentPrior experience working in a professional services or similarly fast-paced, matrixed environmentPrior experience working remotely with distributed or global teamsBenefitsYou may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.Company OverviewDeloitte drives progress.
