They are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to leverage AI and computer vision to solve impactful problems and collaborate with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and product development.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with engineering, product, and data science teams to understand business challenges and the potential for machine learning and AI solutionsDevelop tools and automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency, accelerate experimentation velocity, and minimize human errorBuild, integrate, and monitor the end-to-end lifecycles of large-scale, distributed machine learning systemsInvestigate model performance and identify data quality and performance issuesSkillsExperience with designing and building tooling around annotation / curation / management of ML datasetsProficiency in handling real-world, high volume and velocity datasets, particularly familiarity with image and video formatsProficiency in using AI tools and techniques to expedite product developmentPassion for writing readable, tested, and efficient code in collaboration with other engineers5+ years of experience working with machine learning systems, covering the full production workflow and monitoringA strong commitment to craftsmanship and producing high-quality workFamiliarity with developing SaaS products for business customersExperience working in healthcare or other regulated industriesHands on experience with video ML inferenceExperience with DAG frameworksBenefitsOffers EquityRemoteCompany OverviewApella is a technology company for better surgery.
