[Remote] Senior M&A Finance Manager

This role will lead finance activities across the full M&A lifecycle, partnering with various teams to support transactions and strategic initiatives.ResponsibilitiesLead finance workstreams across the full M&A lifecycle, including diligence, deal planning, close readiness, Day 1 execution, and post-close integrationPartner with finance sub-functions and cross-functional M&A stakeholders to assess risks and opportunities, support transaction recommendations, and drive execution planningLead finance diligence activities, including analysis of historical and projected financial performance, operating metrics, cash flow, working capital, and key transaction assumptionsReview transaction materials and agreements to provide finance input on deal structure, financial risks, and key provisionsSynthesize diligence findings, financial risks, and integration considerations into clear recommendations and decision-ready materials for leadershipAnalyze and negotiate key transaction and closing considerations, including minimum cash requirements, net working capital, funds flow, purchase price adjustments, escrows, holdbacks, and related closing mechanicsCoordinate pre-close planning across core finance functions, including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, etc. to support Day 1 readiness and continuity of operationsDevelop and execute finance integration plans, including governance, milestone tracking, executive updates, risk management, issue resolution, and decision-making processesPartner with acquired company finance teams and Autodesk stakeholders to transition processes, systems, controls, vendors, bank accounts, and reporting into Autodeskβs operating modelSupport closing and post-close execution activities, including review of seller deliverables, finance approvals, onboarding and transition planning, and transaction-related settlements in partnership with cross-functional teamsTrack integration progress, critical dependencies, and blockers against transaction objectives, escalating issues and driving timely resolution as neededIdentify opportunities to improve, standardize, and scale M&A finance processes, tools, templates, and governance, while building strong relationships and influencing effectively across a matrixed organizationSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field9+ years of relevant experience in M&A finance, transaction advisory, strategic finance, corporate finance, FP&A, and/or finance integrationDemonstrated experience supporting transactions through financial diligence, modeling, close, and post-close integrationStrong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendationsExperience leading across cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, and TaxExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leaders and executive stakeholdersProven ability to drive alignment, manage ambiguity, drive accountability, and deliver results in a matrixed organizationStrong program and project management skills, including planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and issue resolutionHigh degree of business judgment, attention to detail, and ownershipMBA, CPA, or other advanced finance or accounting credentialsExperience in the technology or SaaS industryExperience supporting software, cloud, or subscription-based business modelsFamiliarity with valuation concepts and transaction metrics, including synergy analysis, cash flow assessment, and key deal performance indicatorsExperience supporting finance integration in acquisitions, divestitures, or complex business transformationsExperience with enterprise finance systems and reporting toolsContinuous improvement mindset with experience enhancing finance processes, governance, and operating modelsCompany OverviewAutodesk develops 3D design software for use in the architecture, engineering, construction, and media industries.
