Clark Creative Solutions is seeking a Senior Linux Software Developer/System Administrator to fill a System Architects role for PFPA’s atmospheric modeling system. This role involves maintaining and updating system software, designing test plans, and managing virtual private clouds and server instances to ensure the functionality and security of the system.ResponsibilitiesMaintain MMS system software in a GitLab repositoryModify software/system design as required by new, continuously updating DoD Cyber rules/requirementsDesign/implement test plans for all required code changesCreate/modify scripts/wrappers written in Python, Java and Go that control information flow throughout the MMS systemEnsure data feeds from the associated LiDAR and other weather inputs are configured to ensure usable model outputImplement, manage, and maintain all required virtual private clouds (VPCs)Implement, manage, and maintain all required server instances necessary for application functionalityImplement and update security groups as necessary to secure VPC and EC2 server instancesImplement, manage, and maintain all required Identity Access Management (IAM) roles and principles to support security of VPCs, EC2 instances, and native cloud services (i.e., server less functions)Implement, manage, and maintain Cloud Formation (i.e., infrastructure as code) scripts necessary to instantiate all cloud-based resources and configurationsMaintain updated Yum patch repositories and patch MMS AWS instances weeklyMaintain the Slurm Workload managerSkillsExperience in maintaining software in a GitLab repositoryAbility to modify software/system design as required by new, continuously updating DoD Cyber rules/requirementsExperience in designing/implementing test plans for all required code changesProficiency in creating/modifying scripts/wrappers written in Python, Java, and GoExperience in ensuring data feeds from associated LiDAR and other weather inputs are configured for usable model outputAbility to implement, manage, and maintain all required virtual private clouds (VPCs)Experience in implementing, managing, and maintaining all required server instances necessary for application functionalityAbility to implement and update security groups as necessary to secure VPC and EC2 server instancesExperience in implementing, managing, and maintaining all required Identity Access Management (IAM) roles and principlesAbility to implement, manage, and maintain Cloud Formation scripts necessary to instantiate all cloud-based resources and configurationsExperience in maintaining updated Yum patch repositories and patching MMS AWS instances weeklyExperience in maintaining the Slurm Workload managerCompany OverviewClark Creative Solutions provides cyber security, intelligence services, IT services, program management, and logistical support services.
