[Remote] Senior Legal Counsel, Product and Digital

They are seeking a Senior Counsel to support their Audience Measurement business by managing legal risks associated with product development and deployment, while drafting and negotiating various agreements related to technology and data.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal support for product development, distribution and sales using an ability to understand, interpret and translate legal, business and technical concepts to provide practical and business-oriented opinions on legal risks and ensure appropriate contractual termsAssess product features, functionalities, and designs, data processing proposals, and other product-related initiatives to identify potential legal issues, protect intellectual property rights, evaluate issues related to the use of AI, and ensure compliance with contractual commitments and regulatory requirementsDraft, review, negotiate and manage commercial contracts, including data supplier and integration agreements, inbound and outbound licenses, technology services agreements, alliance agreements, and supplier agreementsSkills8 or more years of experience including experience in a digital media, digital advertising, ad tech, data analytics, AI, or technology practice at a law firm and/or in-houseExtensive knowledge of online, internet and mobile communications and connected devices (e.g., IP protocol, device identifiers, cookies, content/ad delivery, APIs, SDKs)Experience supporting data processing teams that work with identity graphs/spines, data matching, data modeling and algorithms, identity resolution and data clean roomsA solid understanding of AI products, LLMs and the related legal issuesExperience drafting and negotiating complex contracts involving online media, consumer data, digital advertising technology, market research, and/or data products, and experience with commercial sales agreements involving various compensation structuresKnowledge of current, relevant laws and regulations in the areas of contracts, computer/technology, licensing, intellectual property and privacyWorking knowledge of intellectual property law and data privacy law as it relates to consumer dataBachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and Juris Doctor degreeA Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics background is a plusBenefitsHealth & wellness plans401(k) retirement coupled with a Nielsen matchA generous paid time off policyCompany provided car for those who qualifyIf eligible, a discretionary incentive/bonusCompany OverviewNielsen provides a comprehensive understanding of what consumers watch and buy.
