[Remote] Senior Insurance Allocation Analyst

Davies Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Insurance Allocation Analyst to work remotely within the U.S. The role involves building claim-level allocation models, creating decision-making tools, and reporting on results to stakeholders throughout the claims evaluation process.ResponsibilitiesPerform insightful quantitative analysis on potential policy exposure for long-tail or complex commercial casualty insurance claimsBuild and model loss allocation scenarios for mass torts, including Asbestos, Hazardous Waste, Sexual Abuse & Molestation, PFAS, Concussive Injuries, Pharmaceuticals, Toxic Torts, etcCreate customized solutions dependent on customer needs, combining insurance, data, and jurisdictionally driven legal opinions to accurately model pertinent scenariosCollect and organize data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completenessPerform data cleaning and transformation as needed for modeling purposesProvide ad-hoc reporting and data reconciliation servicesAssist in short-term project management, including assignment of tasks, record-level tracking of progress and real-time status reportingClearly communicate results of various analyses to all stakeholders including coworkers, managers, partners, counsel, clients and opposing consultantsSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related field requiredAt least three years of experience in allocating long-tail insurance claims as a consultant or in-house requiredExcellent Excel, Word, Data Analysis, and other relevant software skills requiredStrong written, oral communication and presentation skillsProven capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environmentExcellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple complex projects at various stages of completeness at any given timeEmphasis on attention to detailAdeptness at modeling qualitative issues using quantitative methodsKnowledge of insurance principles, long-tail insurance claims and working knowledge of jurisdictional intricacies requiredKnowledge of Python, VBA, HTML, or other coding language a plus but not requiredAdvanced degree a plus but not requiredCompany OverviewPart of Davies, the leading specialist professional services & technology business serving insurance, financial services and highly regulated markets.
