[Remote] Senior Human Resource Business Partner

The Senior Human Resource Business Partner will lead HR efforts across multiple countries, ensuring effective talent management and alignment with the global people strategy while supporting country leadership teams in workforce effectiveness and compliance with local laws.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary HR partner to designated country portfolios, advising leadership on workforce strategy, structure, and people-related riskTranslate organisational and People strategy into actionable country-level plansProvide guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, reporting structures, and operating model alignmentSupport change management initiatives and transformation efforts within country teamsUse HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvementEscalate strategic risks and complex matters appropriately to the Executive Head of PeoplePartner with country leadership to conduct workforce planning aligned to growth projectionsLead and coordinate recruitment processes for country portfolios, ensuring quality, diversity, and alignment to competency frameworksSupport hiring managers in structured selection, interviewing, and decision-making processesOversee onboarding to ensure effective integration of new hires into the organisation and cultureEnsure consistent application of job architecture, grading frameworks, and role clarity standardsAct as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, disciplinary processes, investigations, and conflict resolutionEnsure compliance with local labour legislation in each supported country, working with local legal advisors, PEOs, or Employers of Record where requiredProvide guidance on employment contracts, policy interpretation, and HR risk mitigationSupport grievance management processes and ensure fair, consistent application of policyOversee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and compliance requirementsMaintain accurate, confidential HR documentation and recordsDrive implementation of the organisation’s performance management framework across country portfoliosCoach and equip managers to set objectives, provide feedback, and manage performance effectivelySupport development planning, coaching interventions, and targeted capability-building initiativesPartner with the Executive Head of People on succession planning and identification of high-potential talentFoster a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, clarity, and continuous improvementChampion organisational values and culture across supported countriesSupport employee engagement initiatives and feedback mechanismsFacilitate cross-country collaboration and team effectiveness initiativesIdentify organisational climate trends and recommend appropriate interventionsPromote inclusive practices and equitable people processes across geographiesProvide input into compensation benchmarking aligned to global frameworks and local market standardsSupport salary review cycles and incentive processes at the country levelCoordinate effectively with payroll providers, PEOs, or Employers of RecordContribute to the development and refinement of HR policies, SOPs, and toolkitsPrepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and board-ready summaries as requiredSkillsHonours Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Industrial Psychology, or related fieldMinimum of 8–10 years' HR experience, with at least 5 years operating at a senior HR Business Partner or HR Lead levelDemonstrated experience providing end-to-end HR leadership across multiple business units or countriesStrong generalist HR capability across organisational design, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and complianceAbility to operate both strategically and hands-onStrong influencing and stakeholder management skillsHigh cultural intelligence and ability to work across diverse environmentsStrong conflict resolution and mediation capabilityAbility to interpret HR data and translate insights into practical solutionsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailHigh level of adaptability, resilience, and ability to manage competing prioritiesAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismMaster's DegreeExperience working across multiple African countries or emerging marketsExperience in high-growth or scaling organisationsExperience working with remote or hybrid teams across multiple countriesExperience in non-profit, social impact, education, or development sectorsCompany OverviewImagine Worldwide is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide education and literacy services to empower children globally.
