The role involves designing and implementing interoperability solutions that ensure secure, real-time access to healthcare data at scale.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop real-time health data exchange solutions supporting large-scale healthcare ecosystemsBuild and maintain Patient Access APIs, Provider Directory APIs, and Bulk FHIR APIs aligned with CMS interoperability requirementsDevelop integrations with major healthcare data sources, including EMRs, HIEs, laboratories, pharmacies, payers, and digital health platformsImplement FHIR R4 and US Core standards across enterprise integration solutionsDesign scalable data pipelines to support secure and compliant healthcare data exchangeSkillsHealthcare Interoperability Experience: 6+ years of experience in healthcare interoperability, health IT, or healthcare software engineering4+ years of hands-on experience implementing FHIR-based solutions utilizing FHIR R4Proven experience building and supporting production healthcare data exchange systemsExperience integrating with major EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Cerner, athenahealth, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, or similarExperience implementing Patient Access APIs, Bulk FHIR APIs, or other CMS interoperability solutionsExperience working with health information exchanges (HIEs), healthcare networks, or large-scale interoperability ecosystemsDeep expertise in HL7 FHIR R4, including resources, profiles, extensions, search parameters, and Bulk Data APIsStrong understanding of US Core Implementation Guides and USCDI standardsExperience implementing SMART on FHIR authorization workflowsStrong knowledge of HL7 v2.x messaging standardsExperience working with CDA/C-CDA documents and FHIR conversion processesFamiliarity with healthcare terminologies such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD-10, CPT, and CVXExperience with national interoperability networks such as Carequality, CommonWell, eHealth Exchange, or TEFCAExperience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processingKnowledge of healthcare identity management and patient matching solutionsExperience with consent management frameworks and healthcare data governanceExperience with Da Vinci implementation guides, including CDex, PDex, HRex, DTR, or PASExperience integrating payer, pharmacy, laboratory, wearable, or remote monitoring dataFamiliarity with AI-assisted software development tools and modern engineering practicesHL7 FHIR certification or participation in HL7 working groupsCompany OverviewIntellias is a trusted technology partner to top-tier businesses and digital natives on their way to sustainable digital transformation.
