[Remote] Senior Fund Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Atrium is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for investment funds. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual fund financial statements and investor reporting packages to ensure accuracy and timelinessOversee fund accounting activities including NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, allocations, and reconciliations for assigned fundsCoordinate with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reportingReview general ledger activity, journal entries, and supporting schedules for completeness and complianceAssist with year-end audits and financial statement preparation, ensuring adherence to deadlinesMonitor portfolio investment activity and maintain accurate accounting records for all transactionsSupport process improvements and help streamline reporting and operational workflowsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, fund governing documents, and internal controlsCollaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and investment teams as neededSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3–7 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within private equity, hedge funds, or asset managementPrior or current experience in public accounting (audit) with exposure to asset management clients strongly preferredExperience working at a fund administrator or directly with an investment fund managerStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting or fund reporting systemsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCandidates must currently reside in the U.S. and work East Coast hoursAbility to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environmentCPA designation or CPA-track preferredExperience with alternative investments and complex fund structuresFamiliarity with GAAP and investment partnership accountingCPA or progress toward CPA certification preferredContinuing education in investment accounting or financial reporting is a plusBenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.Additional benefits may include paid holidays, a 401(k)-retirement plan, life insurance, disability coverage, and an employee assistance program, where applicable.Other compensation programs may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, or other incentive compensation, where applicable.Company OverviewAtrium is a global WBENC-certified Talent Solutions and Extended Workforce Management leader.
