[Remote] Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Particle41 is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to take ownership of the codebase and infrastructure. The role involves making architecture decisions, shipping features end-to-end, and ensuring reliable system performance in production while collaborating directly with the founder.ResponsibilitiesOwn the full application lifecycle—backend APIs, frontend UI, database schema, CI/CD pipelines, and production infrastructure on AWSDesign, develop, and ship new features across the Java/Spring Boot backend and Angular frontendManage and optimize our PostgreSQL database, including schema migrations (Liquibase), query performance tuning, and data integrityMaintain and improve AWS infrastructure: EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and related servicesCollaborate directly with the founder to translate business requirements into technical solutionsImprove code quality through testing, code reviews, refactoring, and documentationTroubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and thoroughlyEvaluate and adopt modern tools, frameworks, and practices to keep the platform competitiveLeverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery and improve code qualitySkills5–8+ years of professional software development experienceStrong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security)Solid front-end skills with Angular (TypeScript, RxJS, component architecture)Deep experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases—schema design, migrations, query optimizationHands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM) or comparable cloud platformsComfortable working across the entire stack and owning infrastructure alongside application codeStrong English communication skills (written and verbal) for daily collaborationSelf-directed and proactive—you take initiative, flag issues early, and don't wait to be told what to doAvailable during US business hours (Central Time preferred, but flexible within the Americas)Experience with JHipster-generated applicationsFamiliarity with Liquibase for database change managementExperience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)Background in marketplace platforms, subscription billing, or scheduling systemsExposure to mapping/GIS tools (Google Maps API, geospatial queries)Interest in or experience with AI-assisted development workflowsCompany OverviewBuilding world-class teams that accomplish incredible things.
