[Remote] Senior Front-End Engineer (React/TypeScript)

They are seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript to design and maintain scalable web applications, ensuring performance and accessibility while collaborating with cross-functional teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain React applications using TypeScript, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainabilityBuild efficient GraphQL operationsDevelop reusable, well-tested UI components and maintain a consistent design systemDeploy releases and hotfixes to production environmentsDebug issues in production or development environmentsWrite unit/integration tests as part of each feature/bug fixCollaborate cross-functionally with back-end engineers and product stakeholders to deliver robust and maintainable systemsApply front-end best practices for performance, accessibility, security, and code qualityParticipate in code reviews, contribute to engineering standards, and support continuous improvement across the teamSkills5+ years of professional experience in front-end software developmentStrong proficiency with TypeScript and ReactExperience with GraphQL clients (Apollo Client or equivalent) and consuming API schemasSolid understanding of component architecture, state management patterns, and modern React paradigmsFamiliarity with AWS-hosted front-end infrastructure (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control workflowsAble to perform root cause analysis on issues within the applicationExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with AWS CDK or IaC for front-end infrastructure configurationPerformance optimization techniques (code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies)Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA / 508 compliance)FedRAMP or other certification knowledgeBenefitsFinal compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications.Travel and accommodations will be provided.All travel costs for these visits will be covered by Unison.Company OverviewUnison is a software company that offers contracting and financial assistance processes for agencies and government contractors.
