Remote Senior Fleet Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a rapidly growing logistics and transportation company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fleet Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote, critical role where you will be instrumental in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's extensive fleet operations across the nation. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of all transportation activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Your expertise in route planning, carrier management, and real-time tracking will be essential.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement optimal routing and scheduling for the fleet to minimize transit times and fuel costs. Monitor fleet performance in real-time using advanced telematics and GPS tracking systems. Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries. Manage relationships with third-party carriers and negotiate contracts to secure competitive rates. Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in fleet efficiency. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and delivery confirmations. Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, key metrics, and recommendations for senior management. Proactively identify and resolve any logistical issues or disruptions that may impact delivery schedules. Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to forecast transportation needs and resource allocation. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders. Experience with transportation management software (TMS) is highly desirable.
