[Remote] Senior Financial Accountant

They are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to maintain an accurate general ledger, prepare financial statements, and collaborate with various teams to support financial operations.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementPerform key month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, revenue invoicing, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and variance analysesEnsure operating project billings, expenses, and related accruals are recorded timely and accurately each monthPrepare and maintain supporting schedules and manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations across multiple entitiesSupport project accounting and capitalization activities, including construction and development costs, fixed asset additions, and placed-in-service activityPrepare financial reporting, compliance deliverables, and audit support for tax equity investors, lenders, banks, external auditors, and other third partiesIdentify and support process improvements, automation tools, and AI agents to enhance accounting efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityCollaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, FP&A, Asset Management, Development, and other teams to support cash management, debt activity, reporting, and operational accounting needsPerform ad hoc projects and support other departments with financial information as neededComply with all esVolta LP policies and proceduresSkills4-7 years of experience in accounting or related field requiredBachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field requiredHands-on experience with accounting software packagesExperience with multi-entity structuresTechnical and analytical accounting background and familiarity or experience with complex accounting issues, consolidations, U.S. GAAP issues, foreign currency translation, multiple corporate structures, equity, and investment accountingCommitment, ability, and prior experience in meeting deadlines for monthly and quarterly reporting, and special projects; preparing thorough and complete analyses and reconciliations with appropriate documentation and follow-upOrganizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload involving multiple tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines with professional follow-through and minimal supervisionExcellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong communication skillsSelf-starter with flexibility, desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, and taking ownership of projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsTeam player and collaborates well with other teams in the organizationProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Experience in the renewable energy industry is strongly preferredExperience with Sage Intacct is a plus but not a requirementAccounting experience with partnerships and consolidations is preferredSage Intacct ERP experience is a plusRenewable energy industry experience is a plusCPA Certification is a plus but not requiredBenefits401(k) program with 6% matchMonthly cell phone stipendMedical, dental and vision care benefits20 vacation days, 5 sick days and 9 observed holidaysThis position is classified as remote within the continental United States (international work is not permitted); however, periodic travel to company offices, project sites or other meeting locations may be required on an as-needed basis.Company OverviewFocused on sustainability and innovation, esVolta develops, owns, and operates reliable utility-scale energy storage assets across the entire lifecycle - delivering value for utilities, energy users, and investors.
