[Remote] Senior Finance Analyst - Cost Management

They are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join their FP&A team, responsible for managing vendor-related costs, conducting cost analyses, and supporting cost savings initiatives.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain vendor-level reporting and self-service dashboards providing visibility into spend by vendor, account, business unit, and departmentDeliver monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting that highlights trends, variances vs. budget and forecast, and key cost driversConduct deep-dive analyses on vendor spend to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization or consolidation, partnering with department owners to evaluate return on spendSupport contract renewals and vendor selection with scenario modeling and total cost of ownership analysis, and own vendor cost budgets and forecasts to drive accountability across cross-functional stakeholdersSupport on company-wide cost savings initiatives, partnering with Operations, and business leaders to source, validate, and prioritize initiatives, including business cases with baseline, savings methodology, risks, and timingTrack and report savings realization against committed targets — ensuring savings flow into budgets, forecasts, and actuals — and communicate progress to senior leadership through clear, executive-level updatesBuild strong relationships with Accounting, IT, and business unit leaders to drive financial discipline around vendor spendIdentify and implement process improvements in vendor cost reporting, forecasting, and analysis, and support month-end close activities including accruals, reclasses, and variance commentarySkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field4–6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical roleStrong understanding of financial statements, with a particular focus on operating expenses, cost of revenue, and contribution marginsAdvanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and the ability to build scalable models from scratchExperience working with ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, PowerBi, etc.)Demonstrated ability to translate large data sets into clear, actionable insights for non-finance audiencesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner across functions and seniority levelsStrong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsBase 8% Bonus TargetCompany OverviewVikingCloud delivers battle-tested cybersecurity and compliance solutions that simply work.
