Remote Senior Event Planner

Our client, a premier hospitality and tourism organization, is seeking a highly organized and creative Remote Senior Event Planner to spearhead their event initiatives. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to manage and execute exceptional events from anywhere. You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and successful execution of various events, contributing to the vibrant tourism landscape in and around **Salt Lake City, Utah, US**.

Responsibilities: Conceptualize, plan, and manage a diverse range of events, including conferences, corporate functions, festivals, and private gatherings. Develop detailed event proposals, budgets, and timelines, ensuring adherence to financial and logistical constraints. Source and negotiate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure optimal services and pricing. Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including registration, accommodation, catering, A/V, and staffing. Develop and implement creative event themes and experiences that align with client objectives and brand identity. Manage on-site event execution (when necessary, potentially requiring occasional travel), ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues proactively. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and communication throughout the planning process. Evaluate event success through post-event analysis, feedback collection, and reporting. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event management. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in event planning and management, with a strong portfolio of successful events. Exceptional organizational, project management, and multitasking skills. Proven ability to manage complex budgets and negotiate effectively with vendors. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills. Proficiency in event management software and virtual collaboration tools. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead projects in a remote setting. Knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry is a strong asset. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
