[Remote] Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager – Mining Team

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ICF is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to support our mining team in the Mountain West. The role involves managing federal and state permitting and NEPA compliance for mining and energy projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and interfacing with clients.ResponsibilitiesManagement and review of federal, state, and local permitting and NEPA compliance for mining and energy projectsServe as a primary point of contact with local, state, and federal government clients, as well as private sector clients such as mining companies, commercial/industrial developers, and engineering companiesLead multidisciplinary teams tasked with preparing NEPA documents, conducting research, preparing technical documents/deliverables, and interfacing with external clientsServe as a permitting and NEPA compliance project manager on large complex mining projects. The role may also include project management of other energy and infrastructure projects, when neededPlan and complete project tasks related to the development and delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality NEPA and permitting products and servicesInterface directly with key agencies and clients and help build and maintain great relationshipsIdentify and develop new opportunities, prepare proposals, and develop and expand client relationshipsLead project teams to meet client schedule, quality, and budget expectationsLead, manage, inspire, and mentor staffSkillsBachelor's degree in physical science, natural science, policy, economics, environmental science, or related disciplines6+ years of experience with national/state/local-level environmental reviews, mine permitting, or NEPA project managementMaster's degree in physical science, natural science, policy, economics, environmental science preferred4+ years of experience managing/preparing NEPA documents or environmental permittingRecent working experience with the Bureau of Land Management and/or U.S. Forest Service regulations and policiesExperience obtaining environmental permits, reviewing technical studies such as those addressing biological resources, cultural resources, air quality, noise, and hydrologyExperience managing pre-NEPA work (e.g., surveys, data collection)Experience with developing and maintaining project schedules and budgetsBenefitsFlexible workplace arrangements, work-life balanceDonation matching, volunteer opportunitiesTuition reimbursement, access to professional development resources, 401k matching, Employee Stock Purchase PlanCompany OverviewICF is a global consulting and technology services provider focused on making big things possible for our clients.
