[Remote] Senior Engineering Project Manager

Mantel Capture, Inc is developing innovative molten-salt-based carbon capture technology aimed at reducing emissions across various industries. The Senior Project Manager will drive project execution from design through commissioning, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure project schedules and deliverables are met efficiently.ResponsibilitiesOwn the project schedule end-to-end: develop, maintain, and drive it — across internal teams, EPCs, vendors, and host-site stakeholdersTrack technical deliverables, identify risks early, and keep the team ahead of schedule rather than reacting to itFacilitate weekly status meetings and ensure clear, consistent communication across all project partiesCoordinate with leadership on project staffing, resource planning, and budget trackingReview and track engineering deliverables: P&IDs, equipment specifications, QA/QC documentation, and engineering test proceduresCoordinate across disciplines — I&C, mechanical, electrical, civil — to resolve interface issues and keep design progressingEnsure all technical work meets Mantel's standards and is complete before it moves to the next phaseSupport HAZOP execution and ensure safety compliance is embedded throughout the project lifecycleServe as the day-to-day coordination point for EPCs, equipment vendors, and consultantsDrive accountability on deliverables, timelines, and quality from all external partiesManage RFIs, submittals, and change orders with precision and a clear paper trailWork closely with the Commissioning Director to develop and execute commissioning plansCoordinate pre-commissioning activities, punch list close-out, and startup sequencing across all project partiesEnsure the project transitions cleanly from construction into commissioning and from commissioning into operationProduce clear, concise project reports and updates for leadership and stakeholdersSurface issues early with proposed solutions — not just status updatesKeep internal teams aligned on priorities, decisions, and next stepsSkills7+ years in project management or project engineering in an industrial settingAt least one full commissioning or startup campaignExperience with coal, solid fuels, or high-temperature combustion processesB.Eng. or B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering disciplineAbility to develop, maintain, and drive project schedulesExperience in tracking technical deliverables and identifying risksExperience in facilitating status meetings and ensuring communicationAbility to coordinate with leadership on project staffing and resource planningExperience in reviewing and tracking engineering deliverablesAbility to coordinate across disciplines to resolve interface issuesExperience in supporting HAZOP execution and ensuring safety complianceAbility to manage RFIs, submittals, and change ordersExperience in producing project reports and updates for leadershipAbility to surface issues early with proposed solutionsStrong organizational skills and clear documentation practicesAbility to communicate effectively across a mixed audiencePMP designationBenefitsHighly competitive pay based on experience, including equity90% subsidized medical and dental healthcare coverage for employees, 50% for dependentsUnlimited vacation policy, mental health personal days, generous sick leave, plus a week-long winter break at the end of DecemberHealth/Fitness and cell phone stipendPaid parental leaveCompany OverviewMantel proposes a method to trap CO2 before it enters the atmosphere.
