The role involves leading teams to conduct underwater inspections and managing marine engineering and diving projects effectively to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.ResponsibilitiesLead teams to conduct underwater inspections of various structures, including bridges, barges, piers, wharves, marinas, ports, bulkheads, and seawallsPerform condition inspections and quality control inspections for construction projectsEngage in structural design and analysis of marine structuresPrepare detailed technical reports and oversee the plan development process from concept through final construction plans for new structures, rehabilitations, and repairsManage projects effectively, ensuring completion on schedule and within budgetSkillsMinimum of 4 years of relevant experienceBachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited ProgramStrong Proficiency in required design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or RevitStrong proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelGood communication and technical writing skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think criticallyComprehensive understanding of all facets of commercial diving and ADCI requirements for surface-supplied air divingProficiency in structural engineering, design, analysis, and bridge condition inspection is highly desirableProven project management experience with a track record of successful project deliveryCertification by the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) is requiredValid driver's license is requiredTravel up to 50% of the time is a requirement of this positionExperience with bridge, waterfront, and/or dam projects is preferredNational Highway Institute (NHI) Bridge Inspection certification is a plusTWIC card is preferredBoating Safety Certificate is preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) eligibilityBenefitsCompetitive compensation packageFamily friendly benefitsCollaborative working environmentTraining, mentoring and resourcesCompany OverviewKCI is a 100-percent employee-owned engineering, consulting and construction firm serving clients throughout the United States and beyond.
