As a Senior EDA Tools Hardware Engineer, you will design and implement next-generation hardware design tools and methodologies, collaborating with world-class engineers and EDA vendors to enhance Intel's capabilities in advanced technology nodes.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and verify hardware design tools, flows, and methodologies for advanced technology nodesDevelop unique hardware designs and integrate components into hierarchical systems for end-to-end EDA tool testingAnalyze and optimize methodologies for improved power, performance, area, and efficiency in hardware developmentBuild platforms, databases, scripts, and tool flows to enhance design automation capabilitiesTest and analyze engineering design automation tools to ensure reliability, functionality, and qualityDevelop and refine tools to support digital design, verification, structural and physical layout, full-chip integration, power optimization, clocking, and timing methodologiesWork collaboratively with EDA vendors to define, test, and adopt next-generation design toolsSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or in a STEM related field7+ years of experience in hardware design and development with a Bachelor's degree, OR5+ years of experience with a Master's degree, OR3+ years of experience with a PhDExperience in EDA tools and methodologies, including debugging and problem-solvingExperience in physical design, optimization, and tools flows and methodology (TFM) developmentExperience analyzing and improving software qualityExperience in digital design, verification, and structural layoutExperience with power-performance optimization techniques and formal verificationBenefitsCompetitive payStock bonusesBenefit programs which include health, retirement, and vacationFully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business needCompany OverviewIntel designs, manufactures and sells computer components and related products for business and consumer markets.
