They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support their goals by contributing to the development of DevOps and software engineering strategies, mentoring team members, and collaborating across teams to improve processes and tools.ResponsibilitiesStrong influential skills to collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and servicesServes as a mentor to individuals within the teamMay leads small, less critical, or temporary team structures and projectsPresents design documents, system diagrams, etc. to clients, stakeholders, partners, and other engineersCapable of self-directed cloud infrastructure design and pipeline design, including cloud-specific product offerings, and tradeoffs between cost, reliability, and efficiencyBuilds libraries, modules, and packages for other infrastructure engineers to integrate with their projectsBuilds cloud infrastructure that supports applications and Improves the broader developer experience for engineersDevelops CI/CD processes to help deliver software of higher quality at greater speedIntegrates tools to satisfy non-functional requirements such as quality thresholds, security vulnerabilities, and static analysisBuilds specific application test and deployment pipelines using automated tooling such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Circle CI, Gitlab CIProactively works with our government partners and app teams to ensure that we are shipping software that meets security, SLA, and performance requirementsParticipates in technical depth interviews with new candidatesSkillsBachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years of total relevant experience in lieu of a degree)Proven expertise in test development, monitoring/instrumentation, analytics, and deployment pipeline optimizationDemonstrated ability to enhance the developer experience by automating release processes and building modern development toolsStrong influential skills to collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and servicesServes as a mentor to individuals within the teamMay lead small, less critical, or temporary team structures and projectsPresents design documents, system diagrams, etc. to clients, stakeholders, partners, and other engineersCapable of self-directed cloud infrastructure design and pipeline design, including cloud-specific product offerings, and tradeoffs between cost, reliability, and efficiencyBuilds libraries, modules, and packages for other infrastructure engineers to integrate with their projectsBuilds cloud infrastructure that supports applications and improves the broader developer experience for engineersDevelops CI/CD processes to help deliver software of higher quality at greater speedIntegrates tools to satisfy non-functional requirements such as quality thresholds, security vulnerabilities, and static analysisBuilds specific application test and deployment pipelines using automated tooling such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Circle CI, Gitlab CIProactively works with our government partners and app teams to ensure that we are shipping software that meets security, SLA, and performance requirementsParticipates in technical depth interviews with new candidatesHands-on experience deploying, managing, or migrating applications within AWS or cloud.govExperience navigating federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, ATO processes) alongside government partnersFamiliarity with JavaScript, Node.js, Postgres, and observability toolingBenefitsCompany-subsidized health, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible PTO401K with employer matchPaid parental leave after one year of serviceEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany OverviewAd Hoc is a digital services company that helps the federal government better serve people.
