[Remote] Senior Database Administration Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. They are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and other database platforms to manage, optimize, and secure their enterprise data systems.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Install, configure, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server, and other DB platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
ā¢ Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments
ā¢ Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies
ā¢ Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards
ā¢ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX)
ā¢ Design and manage backup/recovery strategies
ā¢ Perform disaster recovery planning and testing
ā¢ Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code
ā¢ Configure indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies
ā¢ Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries
ā¢ Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues
ā¢ Document processes, standards, and best practices
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
ā¢ 5+ years of experience as a DBA with Oracle and SQL Server
ā¢ Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and indexing
ā¢ Proficiency in SQL scripting, PL/SQL, and TSQL
ā¢ Experience with database monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Profiler, etc.)
ā¢ Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud)
ā¢ Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
ā¢ Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
ā¢ Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
ā¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
