[Remote] Senior Data Standardization Analyst – Product Master Data

Wesco is seeking an experienced and skilled Data Standardization Analyst as a new member of their rapidly growing and expanding data team. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to develop and apply standards to product data.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with assortment and merchandising managers to understand the strategy and define requirements for product data to support that strategyEstablish standardization rulesDesign the functional logic for data transformation and conformation to those rulesDefine detailed requirements for technical developers to implement transformation rulesPerform hands-on data analysis and manipulation to assess gaps in existing data and develop strategies for improving data content and qualityWork with stakeholders to communicate our data standards and guide them in conforming their data to those standardsCreate functional definitions for data transformation to our standards for data elements that cannot be conformedIdentify opportunities for improved efficiency in product data standardization processesSkillsBachelor's Degree required/Masters' Degree preferred- Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in a Data Analytics roleStrong analytical backgroundUnderstanding of data, data flows and how data supports various business processes in a supply chain environmentUnderstanding of data quality and data risk management, including understanding of standards, methods, processes, tools, and controlsSelf-starter with the ability to seek out new problems and develop solutions, while having strong sense of ownershipAnalytical and data-driven with a knack for driving business decisions through data and analyticsSelf-sufficient and motivated to obtain the skills or knowledge necessary to accomplish complex tasksExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple prioritiesAbility to conduct root cause analysis and communicate recommendation to resolve, switch quickly between details and the big pictureAbility to travel 25-50% of the timeBenefitsFor eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.Wesco offers a benefits program for eligible employees, which may include paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and retirement savings plans.Company OverviewAt Wesco, we believe life should run smoothly.
