As a Senior Data Scientist, you will develop AI and ML models for personalization and product innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end development of new AI/ML models and major upgrades to existing models used for personalization and the broader marketplaceDesign and analyze experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to measure impact of AI/ML models, optimize the customer experience, and drive business growthPartner with engineering teams to improve data pipelines, tooling, and infrastructure, enabling efficient experimentation and analysis at scaleCommunicate progress and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadershipWork closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to define solutions, educating cross-functionally to elevate the overall technical expertise of the teamStay aware of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and data science to advance our AI/ML solutionsSkills5-7 years in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of owning model upgrades or building new models in a real-world contextMS or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent industry experienceBackground in e-commerce, marketplaces, or a related industryProficiency in Python and SQL, along with experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and deploying models at scaleExpertise in deep learning and predictive modeling, including owning evaluation of models via A/B testingPrior experience implementing recommender systems and working with multimodal embedding models is a plusGiven a defined project, proven ability to define the path forward and deliver results in a timely manner, thinking ahead to mitigate risks and driving alignment on tradeoffsExceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to a variety of audiencesAble to collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated growth mindset.
