Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Stream Analytics.
Cloud Solutions Implementation: Deploy and manage data platforms on Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with source data application teams and product owners to understand data sources, define requirements, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
Testing & CI/CD: Implement automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.
Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine‑tune data pipelines and queries to achieve high throughput and low latency.
Data Governance & Security: Enforce data governance policies, implement security best practices, and work with the data stewardship team to maintain data lineage and cataloging.
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior engineers and cross‑functional teams on best practices, emerging technologies, and architectural patterns.
Documentation & Reporting: Produce clear technical documentation, data dictionaries, and operational runbooks for all solutions delivered.


Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience developing data pipelines in a cloud environment (preferably Azure).
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Proven experience with Python, Unix/Linux scripting, and data transformation tools.
Familiarity with data storage technologies including Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Teradata, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, ARM templates).
Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.


Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

Advanced certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
