The role involves developing scalable data pipelines, designing reusable datasets, and creating polished Tableau dashboards to support business needs.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain scalable data pipelines across Google Cloud PlatformDesign reusable datasets, shared dimensions, and canonical data models that support multiple business use casesDevelop and optimize BigQuery datasets, including partitioning, clustering, materialized views, and cost optimizationOrchestrate production-grade data pipelines using Cloud Composer and Apache AirflowBuild and maintain Vertex AI Pipelines for ML workflows and large-scale data transformationsWrite complex, performant SQL using window functions, CTEs, recursive queries, and query optimization techniquesDevelop Python-based transformation scripts, pipeline logic, custom Airflow operators, API integrations, and automation toolingBuild production-quality Tableau dashboards connected to well-structured data layersTranslate business questions into clear, intuitive visualizations for non-technical stakeholdersApply data architecture best practices around naming conventions, schema organization, documentation, and lifecycle managementSkills5+ years in a data engineering role, with meaningful GCP and BigQuery experienceAdvanced Python and SQL proficiency as daily working languagesHands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including dataset design and performance optimizationExperience with Cloud Composer and Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestrationExperience with GCS, Cloud Functions, and Jupyter notebooksExperience designing scalable, reusable data models in an enterprise or multi-team environmentFamiliarity with data architecture patterns such as Medallion, star schema, and Data VaultHands-on Tableau dashboard development experienceUnderstanding of how upstream data modeling decisions impact downstream dashboard performanceExperience with Git or GitLab for version controlFamiliarity with CI/CD practices for data pipelinesExperience with Vertex AI PipelinesTerraform experienceExperience with infrastructure-as-code conceptsPortfolio or examples of Tableau dashboards built on well-structured data layersExperience designing layered data architectures using bronze, silver, and gold patternsExperience with Tableau performance tuning, published data sources, and Server or Cloud publishing workflowsBenefitsMEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) servicesCompany OverviewNesco Resource s an Staffing and Recruiting firm.
