[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the IRS's Enterprise Data Platform, focusing on the design, implementation, and optimization of data solutions using Databricks and AWS.ResponsibilitiesServe as the Databricks Subject Matter Expert supporting the IRS Enterprise Data PlatformDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions utilizing Databricks and AWS technologiesLead Databricks workspace architecture, governance, security, and performance optimization effortsDevelop and optimize data pipelines, ingestion processes, and transformation workflows supporting enterprise analytics and operationsEnsure secure integration between Databricks and AWS services in accordance with established security and governance requirementsOrganize, direct, and manage multiple, complex, and interrelated application development and testing activitiesCoordinate technical activities and maintain ongoing collaboration with Government technical leads throughout the IT lifecycleEnsure technical quality across engineering deliverables and provide operational support during normal business hoursSkillsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldMinimum of eight (8) years of experience supporting cloud technologies and enterprise data solutionsMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on Databricks experienceStrong experience in Amazon AWS Cloud technologies and/or Databricks technologiesExperience organizing, directing, and managing multiple, complex, and interrelated application development and testing tasksDemonstrated ability to ensure technical quality and coordinate with Government technical leads throughout information technology activitiesAvailability to support operations during normal hours of operation throughout the period of performanceAdvanced Cloud and/or advanced Databricks certifications maintained in good standing at the time of contract award and throughout the period of performanceExperience implementing Databricks governance and Lakehouse architecture best practicesExperience supporting Federal IT initiatives, preferably within Treasury or IRSBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance401-K plus matchPaid Vacation DaysPaid HolidaysShort Term and Long-Term DisabilityVoluntary Term LifeCompany OverviewTotally Joined for Achieving Collaborative Techniques (TJFACT) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that specializes in delivering high quality consulting services and solutions to the Federal Government.
