They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the evolution of their data and analytics architecture, ensuring data quality and driving improvements to support internal teams and external customers.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and deliver trusted data sets and services from complex data sources and environments for DTN customers and partnersDesign and implement modern data and analytics architectures, establishing best practices for data integration, acquisition, and managementProvide expert-level support for complex data infrastructure and technical challengesLead continuous improvement initiatives across data management standards, patterns, and engineering practicesDevelop and maintain enterprise documentation, standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns for data acquisition, transformation, storage, and analytics consumptionEnsure data governance, security, and compliance standards are implemented consistently across solutionsIdentify opportunities to improve internal processes through automation, innovation, and scalable data infrastructure solutionsEstablish architectural direction and technical standards across the Data and Analytics domainMentor junior data engineers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teamsSkills7+ years of data engineering experience, including data pipelines, ingestion, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data solutions5+ years of cloud experience across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCPAdvanced Python development skills for API, web, and data engineering applicationsStrong experience with ETL processes, SQL development, and data transformation methodologiesExpert-level knowledge of relational database technologies including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQLDeep expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture patternsExperience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS-native analytics solutionsExperience building and managing cloud and legacy infrastructure environmentsExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs using Node.jsStrong understanding of REST and GraphQL API integrations and consumption patternsWorking knowledge of source control and versioning practices using GitExperience designing highly available, scalable, and high-performance systemsExperience working within Agile development environments and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Docker and Kubernetes technologiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceExperience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or VueExperience designing enterprise-wide data architectures and governance frameworksExperience leading cloud modernization and large-scale data transformation initiativesExperience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership within distributed teamsStrong background supporting analytics-driven or data-intensive SaaS platformsBenefitsCompetitive SalaryUnlimited PTOFlexible working hoursRemote work model (position dependent)Competitive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans6% 401K matchingUnlimited access to 13k+ courses via learning platform to support employee career advancementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Market competitive variable pay and benefitsCompany OverviewDTN is a global data and technology company helping operational leaders in energy, agriculture, and weather-driven industries make faster, smarter decisions.
