[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead a team of Azure Data Engineers, manage data reporting environments, and ensure coding standards within the engineering team.ResponsibilitiesLeading a small team of Azure Data EngineersCreating and supporting Azure Pipelines and Logic AppsEnsuring coding and deployment standards within an engineering teamWork with the applications and database team to meet the key business strategies and objectivesDevelopment of the warehouse to encompass more sources and additional datasetsCreate and maintain SQL procedures, User Defined Functions and Views to support and maintain new and existing reporting requirementsProactively improve the performance, logical structure, physical structure and availability of the Data Warehouse and other reporting environmentsIssue resolution for any incoming data inconsistenciesWork as part of the team to build and maintain the data reporting environmentsUsing SQL services to support the existing business solutions and technologiesTo work with the team to ensure that core applications and strategies are alignedManage the standards within a development teamTo support the build and support the maintenance of Data Flows and IntegrationsCreate and maintain complex SQL objectsWork as part of the team to build and maintain the data reporting environmentsUsing SQL services to support the existing business solutions and technologiesWork as part of the team to provide application and reporting development services/supportTo work with the team to ensure that core applications and strategies are alignedKeeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology developmentsComply with and adhere to the documented quality standards and methods for developmentGain an in-depth knowledge of our key business database, reporting and application systemsTeam Code ReviewsManage Deployment and co-ordinate work across the engineersSkillsExperience in Azure Synapse and FabricExperience in Microsoft SQL development, SQL applications support or a similar roleHands on experience with SQL 2016 onwardsExperience in creating support documentationExperience in managing and maintaining SQL object database security SQLExpert knowledge of Azure Synapse / FabricExpert knowledge in transactional SQL, stored procedures, views and user defined functionsBenefits27 days Annual Leave
