The role involves architecting scalable data pipelines, optimizing data aggregation for analytics, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring high standards of code quality and performance.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, deploy, and maintain robust data solutions leveraging Snowflake and PowerBIArchitect and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources, ensuring efficient transmission of large-scale structured and unstructured data between systemsDevelop and optimize data aggregation pipelines to feed critical analytics and reporting solutions, ensuring data integrity and performanceEnsure all developed code is scalable, adheres to established company standards, and is thoroughly documented for maintainability and future enhancementsDrive technical ownership for specific data platform components, ensuring their reliability, performance, and alignment with overall architectural goalsSupport pipeline failures and request for data validation / queries from business stakeholdersContribute to the architectural design and evolution of the data analytics platform, proposing innovative solutions and best practicesLead the translation of complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and actionable user stories, including acceptance criteria and tasksConduct thorough peer code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality, performance, and adherence to architectural guidelinesCommunicate complex technical solutions, challenges, and recommendations clearly and effectively to management and cross-functional teamsSupervise and proactively resolve complex data issues, applying creative problem-solving skills to ensure data accuracy and system stabilityMentor junior data engineers, sharing expertise and fostering their technical growth within the teamMaintain in-depth knowledge of the evolving data ecosystem, industry trends, and emerging technologies to act as a domain expertEvaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the current data stack and efficiently address evolving data needsSkillsPossessing 5-8 years of progressive experience in data engineering, demonstrating a strong track record of designing, developing, and deploying robust data solutions within complex enterprise environmentsDemonstrated expert-level proficiency in Snowflake, including advanced capabilities in data warehousing, performance optimization, and complex query development for large-scale datasetsProven expert-level experience with Power BI, encompassing the design and development of sophisticated dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support critical business intelligence needsExtensive expert-level experience in data modeling, specifically with Star Schema and Snowflake methodologies, to create efficient and scalable data architecturesAdvanced proficiency in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, with practical experience in integrating, processing, and managing data exchanges with external partnersFamiliarity with Databricks platform capabilities, including experience in developing and deploying data processing workflows and machine learning solutionsA strong understanding of the Retail and eCommerce domain, with experience applying data engineering principles to solve industry-specific challengesCompany Overview"Highbrow LLC" has been founded by professionals having deep industry experience.
