The Senior Data Engineer will oversee data engineering and collaborate with teams to deliver secure and scalable cloud-based solutions while ensuring data integrity and performance standards.ResponsibilitiesOversee data engineering, reporting, development and delivery of hosted and cloud-based solutions which are secure, performant and scalableCollaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to prepare and deliver complex data sets that meet business needsParticipate in Information Technology strategic, budgeting and project planning functionsDefines standards, procedures, and methodologies to ensure the security, integrity, resiliency, scalability and performance of enterprise data resourcesLead DE support, maintenance and change management activities including service levels, efficacy reviews and task/resource schedulingEvaluate and adopt third party tools, add-ons, and interfaces that strengthen our product suite or operational efficiencyStay abreast of evolving technology, standards and engineering practices that embrace security, quality and automationParticipate in proactive assessments, lifecycle and capacity management/planning, business continuity and disaster recovery to maintain service levelsParticipate in maintaining system standards, information security, Incident Response and Disaster Recovery plans that adhere to regulatory requirements working within industry standards and the enterprise security postureSkillsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in Database/Data Architect role or equivalent experience5 years managing and mentoring data engineering teams or similar disciplines5 years recent practical experience implementing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric/PowerBI, Snowflake, MongoDb and data lake technology administration, ETL, high availability, deployments, and disaster recoveryExtensive practical experience designing, developing and managing traditional and cloud databases, data lake, data warehouse and NoSQL solutionsDemonstrated experience managing and participating in complex, cross-functional projects and driving technical innovationAbility to thrive as a member of a geographically distributed organizationExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong ability to compile, research and analyze complex dataAbility to convey complex topics to non-technical audiences verbally and in writingExperience working in Azure DevOps, supporting SDLC, CI/CD development and deploymentsBenefitsPPO + HDHP Healthcare + Vision & Dental
