The role involves partnering with stakeholders to improve security controls, manage incidents, and maintain a robust security posture across a modern technology environment.ResponsibilitiesPartner with technology teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security risks and vulnerabilitiesSupport vulnerability management activities, including risk assessment, remediation tracking, and validationParticipate in the investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidentsAssist with root cause analysis, incident documentation, evidence collection, and post-incident reviewsSupport security monitoring, operational security initiatives, and continuous improvement effortsConduct security assessments and risk evaluations for systems, applications, and technology initiativesDevelop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and operational documentationSupport governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across the organizationAssist with internal and external audits through evidence collection, control validation, and stakeholder coordinationEvaluate security controls related to identity management, access controls, monitoring, logging, encryption, and infrastructure securitySupport cloud security reviews and recommend risk reduction strategiesIdentify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvementsContribute to security awareness, training, and communication initiativesCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support secure technology adoption and operational resilienceSkills5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, risk management, or related disciplinesHands-on experience supporting vulnerability management and remediation programsExperience participating in incident response investigations and security operations activitiesStrong understanding of industry security frameworks and best practicesExperience supporting audits, compliance initiatives, and security assessmentsKnowledge of cloud security principles and modern technology environmentsFamiliarity with identity management, endpoint security, network security, and security monitoring technologiesExperience creating and maintaining security documentation, standards, and proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiencesExperience with scripting, automation, or process improvement initiativesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilitiesExperience working in regulated industriesProfessional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GSEC, Security+, or similarExperience with cloud-native environments and modern security architecturesFamiliarity with application security, secure development practices, or security reviewsExposure to governance, risk, and compliance programsExperience implementing automation or AI-assisted operational workflowsKnowledge of emerging security technologies and industry trendsCompany OverviewMadison-Davis is a staffing and recruiting company offering financial services.
