[Remote] Senior Consultant - Technical Accounting

This role involves advising clients through M&A, carve-outs, and IPO readiness, leading engagements, and shaping client approaches to significant transactions.ResponsibilitiesLead client engagements covering M&A, divestitures, IPO readiness, interim management, and technical accounting mattersReview financial statements and SEC filings, identifying issues before they become problemsBuild financial models, forecasts, and supporting analyses to inform client decision-makingOversee business process improvement initiatives, working closely with client finance teamsAct as a liaison between client senior management and their auditorsSupport and guide engagement teams in the field, ensuring quality and consistency of deliveryHelp maintain and grow client relationships, including identifying new opportunitiesDevelop subject matter expertise in a chosen technical area such as business combinations, revenue recognition, or stock-based compensationContribute to firm-building initiatives, including recruiting and strategic growth projectsSkills3+ years of public accounting, audit, or accounting advisory experienceCPA or MBA (or equivalent), with a degree in accountingStrong technical command of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsA track record of managing multiple client engagements concurrently, often under pressureConfident, clear communication with senior stakeholders, including auditors and boardsAn entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in building something within a growing firmWillingness to travel as client needs requireCompany OverviewHenderson Drake is a specialist recruitment partner for the Office of Finance - spanning EPM, ERP, FP&A, and CFO technology.
