The Senior Consultant, Client Solutions serves as a trusted advisor to state and local education agencies, leading complex client engagements and delivering high-impact consulting services while driving revenue growth through client expansion and solution upsell.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and executes state and local consulting strategies aligned with client priorities, regulatory requirements, and PCG solution offeringsServes as a senior client-facing leader, ensuring delivery excellence across complex, multi‑group engagementsIndependently manages complex projects, staff, budgets, and deliverables with limited supervision while meeting or exceeding performance expectationsEnsures client retention and long-term success through consistent delivery quality and proactive relationship managementDevelops and manages comprehensive client communication and governance plansIdentifies and elicits business, operational, and technical requirements from diverse stakeholder groupsFacilitates executive-level discussions, working sessions, and decision-making forumsIdentifies risks, gaps, and operational or technical constraints and recommends appropriate mitigation strategiesPlans, monitors, and adjusts project execution to ensure scope, schedule, quality, and financial alignmentDelegates tasks appropriately and leads cross-functional consulting, technical, and client teamsPrepares high-quality written deliverables, executive briefings, and client-facing materialsSupervises client success and delivery teamsDemonstrates a strong understanding of enterprise and custom technology solutions used by public sector education agencies, including data systems, workflow platforms, compliance tools, and integrated applicationsLeads or oversees large-scale, complex, and often custom technology implementations, serving as a bridge between client stakeholders, consulting teams, and technical delivery resourcesTranslates client business and policy needs into clear functional and technical requirementsGuides clients through technology planning, implementation, change management, and adoption processesManages implementation risk, dependencies, and interdependencies across policy, operations, and technologyPartners closely with technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to client outcomesSupports clients in navigating system customization, integration, data migration, and regulatory compliance requirementsEnsures technology solutions enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and program effectivenessDrives revenue growth by identifying opportunities to expand existing engagements through additional services, technology solutions, and contract modificationsProactively uncovers unmet client needs and emerging opportunities tied to operational and technology challengesDevelops and executes regional growth strategies in collaboration with practice and regional leadershipIdentifies, qualifies, and follows up on new sales leads and expansion opportunitiesLeverages delivery and implementation work to strengthen long-term client partnershipsLeads and supports proposal development efforts, including solution design, writing, coordination, and submission readinessBuilds and maintains strong relationships with senior agency leaders and decision-makers across the Pacific NorthwestDevelops deep expertise in complex federal and state education regulations and requirementsAnalyzes and interprets federal and state laws, regulations, and policy guidanceReviews business and program operations to identify service, efficiency, and compliance improvementsSkillsMust be located in the Pacific Northwest region--ideally within Seattle, WA but will also consider Portland, ORDemonstrated experience managing large, complex, and technology-enabled consulting engagementsStrong understanding of technology implementations within public sector or regulated environmentsAbility to translate between business, policy, and technical stakeholdersStrong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial and operational dataProven ability to balance delivery excellence with revenue growth responsibilitiesDemonstrated success identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing client engagementsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, complex environmentsOutstanding oral, written, and executive-level communication skillsBachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant experience required; graduate degree preferred5–10 years of relevant consulting, public sector, technology implementation, or education-sector experienceBenefitsMedical and dental care benefits401kPTOParental leaveBereavement leaveCompany OverviewPublic Consulting Group is a consulting company offering management consulting services to public sector organizations and entities.
