[Remote] Senior Consultant – Procurement Transformation

The Senior Consultant in Procurement Transformation will serve as a trusted advisor, supporting clients with procurement projects, strategic sourcing, and operational enhancements.ResponsibilitiesSupport a wide range of Procurement Transformation projects, encompassing Source-to-Pay technology strategy and selection, purchasing process improvement, operations performance enhancement, change management, program and project management, AI and data analyticsDeliver strategic sourcing events for clients' spend categories, analyzing spend, developing strategies, conducting RFPs, evaluating bid responses, building business cases, and winning stakeholder alignment to our proposed outcomesHelp organizations identify and analyze business challenges to improve procurement operations and their connection to finance and accountingContribute knowledge and best practices pertaining to critical business processes across the Source-to-Pay lifecycleSupport client’s Procurement operations assessments and identify transformative change initiatives through detailed procurement analysis, including but not limited to: supplier spend, vendor master data, category savings identification, buy-pay channels, process & compliance managementDrive third-party spend analyses and reviews against other internal and external data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, which are translated into category strategies for cost savingsLead workstreams contributing to maturity assessments across procurement capabilities, processes, and general operationsBuild procurement opportunities into prioritization frameworks and transformation roadmapsDevelop data-driven business cases for transformational change programsAssess and escalate project issues, risks, or conflicts to leadership, proactively suggesting resolutions to ensure smooth project completionSupport internal initiatives, thought leadership, or other practice-building activitiesSkills3+ years of professional services consulting experience required; Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm background preferred. Additional industry experience within a strategic sourcing or procurement function is a strong plusKnowledge of the following concepts: Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay Process, Item Cost Analysis, Supply Chain Risk Management, Basic Financial Modeling, Accounts Payable, Process Optimization, Change Management, Performance Improvement, Project ManagementComfort and effectiveness leading moderately complex client working sessions and presentationsFoundational client relationship management skills with a strong desire to be part of the sales processWillingness to travel up to 40% as needed upon client requestProficiency using the Microsoft Suite, and prior experience using one or more of the following tools: Tableau, Lucid Software, and/or Power BI is preferredBachelor's degree from an accredited university, supply chain or procurement designations or external certifications are preferredComfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance productivity and innovationContinuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies, including AI and automation, in alignment with firm policies and client standardsCompany OverviewCrossCountry Consulting is a provider of customized finance, accounting, human capital, operations and technology consulting services.
