[Remote] Senior Consultant Data Analyst

They are looking for a Senior Consultant Data Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, operationalizing business questions, and delivering valuable customer experiences through data analysis and technical consulting.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a thorough understanding of the business context and objectives by eliciting and analyzing requirements from relevant stakeholders (business users, data engineers, data scientists, etc.)Operationalize business questions using dataDemonstrate understanding of relational databases, data architecture, and data modelingBuild complex SQL statements to answer business questionsDesign conceptual data models, entity relationship diagrams, and business process modelsTransform and cleanse data using tools such as R, SQL, or PythonInterpret, understand, and explain data insights to clientsManage and create dashboards (drag and drop) for storytelling of regular information reports and ad-hoc requestsBuild trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with technical and non-technical team membersDocument Data Analysis processes and outcomesUtilize industry or subject matter expertise (e.g., finance, employment, hospitality, web analytics)Skills3+ years of experience in IT or a related industryIntermediate to advanced SQL skillsExperience working with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BIStrong analytical aptitude and ability to structure complex or undefined business problemsStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to report and present findings to varying stakeholdersHands-on experience using tools to help clients make data-driven decisionsIntermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPointPreferred experience with cloud analytics products such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft AzurePreferred knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasetsKnowledge and practice of core Agile values and principles is a plusInitiative to learn new strategies and trends to continue to educate self analytically, technically, and technologicallyBenefitsWe offer top of industry medical, dental, and vision benefits with multiple options to choose from such as an employer-contributed health savings account, infertility coverage, and orthodontia so you can select the plan that works best for you.Regardless of what stage of life you’re in, Excella wants to support you.
