[Remote] Senior Compliance Consultant

In this role, you will support impactful projects that benefit our country by developing and delivering compliance solutions and strategies for various customer bases including Commercial and Defense Industrial Base.ResponsibilitiesThis role will serve as a trusted advisor to Planet customers as they seek to balance their operational requirements with their need(s) to demonstrate compliance with one or more formal risk management frameworks in CMMC related projectsThe Consultant will author (for new systems/environments) and/or augment policies, plans, processes, procedures, plans of action and milestones and other artifacts in CJIS and FedRAMP environmentsResponsible for interviewing customer’s personnel, present findings, conduct security assessments of systems/environments, and provide educational material about compliance to customersConduct compliance audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvementCollaboratively develop policies and procedures for customers to facilitate adherence to compliance requirementsAssist in developing and standardizing service offerings aligned with industry trendsGrow your career by using the latest tools and technologies to assist Planet’s great and growing number of high-profile clientsShape the future of Planet’s service offerings and client strategies; represent Planet’s values to our customers every day and crush the delivery of your assigned projects by delivering and communicating your work effectivelySkillsExperience: 5+ years with various compliance standards including but not limited to CMMC, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), CIS, HIPAA, CJIS and FedRAMP Compliance experienceBachelor's degree in a technology-related field preferredCertification in at least 2 relevant areas (e.g., security, compliance, project management) ideally with CCP and or CCA CertificationIn depth knowledge of Microsoft capabilities supporting Compliance within Azure and Office 365Expertise in regulatory compliance, cloud security and compliance, and Microsoft compliance toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detailStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as neededThe ability to work effectively with Compliance SME's, Technical Architects, Sales, and Planet CustomersBuilding and maintaining a reputation as a trusted advisor to your colleagues and Planet's customersA proven history of success working in a collaborative work environment with enthusiastic peers and caring leadersAbility to travel as needed per customer requestAbility to obtain and maintain basic security clearanceBenefitsDetails about our benefits can be found here Planet Technologies Benefit Guide 2025-2026Company OverviewPlanet Technologies was built around investing in, and developing, long term relationships with our customers and corporate partners.
