[Remote] Senior Commercial Data Analyst

The Senior Commercial Data Analyst will own the end-to-end bookings forecasting processes, lead quota allocation modeling, and ensure data integrity across commercial data systems.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end bookings forecasting processes, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting cyclesPartner with Sales leadership to validate commit, upside, and risk, ensuring forecast accuracy and predictabilityMaintain back-testing models and continuously improve forecasting methodologyLead quota allocation modeling, coverage ratio analysis, and capacity planningSupport annual and mid-year quota cycles with data-backed recommendationsBuild scenario models that inform AOP planning and compensation designOwn bookings validation and reconciliation processes across CRM, CPQ, and Finance systemsEnsure accurate classification of new logo, renewal, and expansion bookingsMaintain controls that ensure attainment calculations and reporting outputs are reliable and audit-readySupport pipeline health analysis, attainment tracking, and plan-to-actual variance reportingIdentify structural drivers of over- and under-performance and provide data-backed recommendations to Commercial leadershipCreate clear, consumable dashboards and reports in Amazon Quicksight and Excel that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and RevOpsDevelop reporting that simplifies complexity and supports confident decision-makingWork closely with Sales Operations, Enterprise Applications, and Finance teams to ensure integrity and alignment across commercial data systemsAssist in managing multiple data sources and ensure proper integration and synchronizationWork with both structured and unstructured data while maintaining consistency and integrityUtilize Git for tracking changes in forecasting models, scripts, or configuration filesCoordinate with data engineers or technical teams to ensure version control across databases, APIs, and reporting inputsPartner with cross-functional teams to implement improvements to forecasting processes, quota design, and planning rigorLead structured project sprints when necessary and measure impact of implemented optimizationsIdentify inefficiencies in sales planning processes, pipeline governance, and quota allocationDevelop data-driven recommendations that improve predictability, accountability, and performancePresent structured, executive-ready summaries of forecast performance, quota design, and sales plan outcomes to Commercial and Finance leadershipSkillsExtensive experience analyzing raw sales and bookings data, building forecasting and planning models, and translating insights into actionable recommendationsAbility to clearly communicate forecast assumptions, risks, and planning insights in a compelling and structured wayExperience presenting findings to senior leadership required; experience presenting to executive teams or investors a plusFluency in Python and/or SQL (both preferred)Advanced Excel skills (modeling, scenario analysis, complex formulas)Experience with Salesforce and sales pipeline mechanicsExperience with data visualization tools (PowerPoint required; Tableau, Power BI, or similar preferred)Experience with Amazon Quicksight a plusExperience working across CRM, CPQ, Finance, and reporting systemsFamiliarity with Git for managing scripts or model revisionsAbility to ensure data consistency across multiple systems and inputsAbility to build strong working relationships across Sales, Finance, and RevOps while operating in a fast-paced and evolving environmentDemonstrated ability to ask thoughtful questions about forecast assumptions, pipeline drivers, and quota structuresStrong analytical mindset with a desire to understand root causesComfortable managing multiple planning cycles, deadlines, and stakeholder requests simultaneously with strong attention to detail4+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue analytics, business strategy, or related fieldsAI experience – familiarity with AI-driven forecasting tools or automation workflowsStrong understanding of B2B sales processes and commercial success metricsExperience in a SaaS environmentBenefitsBonusesIncentivesEquityA comprehensive benefits programA comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being and growth - explore full details hereCompany OverviewBonterra is a social good software company.
