The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer role is crucial for supporting KBI's Digital transformation, focusing on the design, operation, and enhancement of cloud infrastructure and digital products.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and operate KBI's AWS-based platform supporting digital products, data platforms, and cloud-native applicationsOwn and evolve KBI's Kubernetes platform (Amazon EKS), including platform architecture, upgrades, scalability, security, observability, and operational excellenceDesign and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure across development, test, and production environmentsLead the design and implementation of platform capabilities supporting both GMP and non-GMP workloadsBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and related toolingImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions that ensure platform reliability and performanceCreate self-service platform capabilities, reusable deployment patterns, and engineering standards that improve developer productivity and operational consistencyPartner with Quality, Compliance, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to establish platform governance, security controls, and operational standardsSupport incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiativesEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend platform enhancements that improve reliability, security, scalability, and developer experienceSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native platforms in AWSStrong experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKSStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably TerraformExperience supporting multi-account AWS environmentsExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation solutionsExperience with GitOps methodologies and related toolingExperience with container technologies including Docker and KubernetesStrong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security architecture, and governance principlesProficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languagesBenefitsAnnual bonus structure for all employeesMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid PTO and holidays401K matching with 100% vesting in 60 daysEmployee recognition programsCompany OverviewKBI Biopharma, Inc.
