[Remote] Senior Cloud Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise cloud infrastructure for a key client, focusing on AWS and Azure environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Microsoft Azure environments in alignment with enterprise architecture standardsSupport cloud platform governance and management frameworks, including AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, Azure Management Groups, and Azure SubscriptionsImplement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, and/or BicepDevelop automated deployment, provisioning, and configuration management solutions to improve operational efficiency and consistencyImplement cloud security controls including IAM policies, security groups, network segmentation, encryption standards, and monitoring capabilitiesMonitor cloud environments using native cloud tools and troubleshoot performance, availability, scalability, and connectivity issuesCollaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams to support cloud migration, modernization, and standardization initiativesDevelop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, technical standards, and support documentationSupport FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives including resource tagging, rightsizing, reserved instance planning, budgeting, and spend reportingAdminister and support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, server hardening, and patch managementParticipate in cloud architecture reviews, operational planning, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiativesSupport enterprise infrastructure projects across multiple business units and technology domainsSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience8+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience supporting enterprise environmentsStrong experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS infrastructure and cloud-native servicesDeep expertise with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route53, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudFormationStrong experience working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform servicesExperience with Azure services including Azure AD/Entra ID, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, ExpressRoute, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps, and ARM/Bicep templatesStrong experience implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep, Pulumi, or similar technologiesExperience administering Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environmentsStrong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, server hardening, and patch managementExperience implementing cloud security controls, identity management, monitoring, governance, and compliance standardsExperience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives within large enterprise environmentsStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teamsAWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certificationMicrosoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or similar Azure certificationsExperience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation and operational supportExperience supporting enterprise-scale cloud governance and FinOps initiativesExperience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud automation frameworksExperience working within highly regulated, global enterprise environmentsExperience supporting hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environmentsCompany OverviewSystematix is a information technology consulting company located in Montreal.
