[Remote] Senior Client Service Engineer - Power Industry

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Doble Engineering is seeking a Senior Client Service Engineer to provide engineering support to the power utility industry. The role involves technical and application support on Doble products, analysis of test results, and training on power apparatus, while also contributing to R&D and participating in technical conferences.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical and application support on Doble products, analysis of test results, training and consultation on power apparatusSupport Research & Development relating to application and product developmentPublish technical articles and participate in various technical conferences sponsored by Doble and other industry organizationsFunction as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a particular disciplineEngage in more advanced diagnostic areas of expertiseWrite technical reports for diagnostic analysis with no review required in most casesProvide training to Doble Clients at a high levelResponsible for all custom agenda planning and scheduling decisionsProvide expertise to others in the CS department as well as to other departments within Doble, and make appropriate decisions regarding that internal supportSkills5 years of utility or similar experience specifically focused on power apparatusFamiliarity with Doble productsPrevious experience in the power utility industry and familiarity with electrical substation apparatusUnderstanding of diagnostic test techniques for high-voltage power apparatusA solid commitment to customer service is requiredThe ability to conduct oneself in a professional mannerTravel is required 30% of the time to both domestic and international locations for periods that are typically 6 days (Sunday to Friday) and rarely exceed 14 daysThe ability to multi-task and be flexible as the daily routine includes frequent client interactionsMust manage job assignments which frequently change to meet client needsMust have experience and willingness to teach and work outdoors in energized substationsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalThe candidate must be able to clearly and concisely express their opinionGood presentation skills will be required to conduct product training, marketing demonstrations and technical presentations at various forums and to audiences with varying skill setRequires a solid command of EnglishThe ability to multi-task and be flexible. The daily routine includes frequent telephone interruptions.
