The Senior Business Development Manager will lead growth initiatives, develop strategies, and build relationships to enhance the company's market presence and increase contract awards within the Coast Guard and DHS sectors.ResponsibilitiesServe as D&G’s primary business development lead for the U.S. Coast Guard and DHS marketDevelop and execute annual account plans and market growth strategies aligned with corporate objectivesIdentify emerging mission requirements, organizational priorities, budget trends, and acquisition strategiesDevelop recommendations regarding market investments, strategic positioning, and capability expansionSupport corporate growth planning and strategic initiativesDevelop and maintain trusted relationships with Coast Guard, DHS, and related federal stakeholdersEngage program managers, contracting officials, acquisition professionals, operational leaders, and technical personnel to understand mission challenges and future requirementsConduct regular customer visits and engagement activities to strengthen D&G’s market positionRepresent D&G at industry events, conferences, association meetings, and government forumsServe as a trusted advisor and ambassador for D&G’s capabilities and solutionsIdentify, assess, and qualify opportunities aligned with D&G’s strategic growth objectivesMonitor procurement forecasts, acquisition plans, budget documents, industry announcements, and customer initiativesMaintain a robust and qualified opportunity pipelineLead opportunity qualification and prioritization activitiesSupport bid/no-bid decisions and pursuit recommendationsLead capture efforts from opportunity identification through contract awardDevelop capture plans, win strategies, customer engagement plans, and competitive assessmentsCoordinate pursuit activities across operations, finance, contracts, proposals, and executive leadershipDevelop teaming strategies and support formation of strategic partnershipsIdentify discriminators and competitive advantages that increase probability of winLead pursuit reviews and capture status reportingIdentify and cultivate relationships with strategic partners, subcontractors, and industry teammatesSupport development and negotiation of teaming agreements and partnership arrangementsEvaluate potential partnerships that enhance D&G’s market access and competitive positioningExpand D&G’s network within the Coast Guard and DHS contracting communityConduct market research and competitive assessmentsMonitor customer priorities, acquisition trends, contract vehicle strategies, and competitor activitiesMaintain awareness of emerging technologies, policy developments, and mission initiatives affecting the marketProvide actionable market intelligence and recommendations to leadershipMaintain accurate opportunity information within company CRM systemsDevelop and provide regular pipeline updates, forecasts, and pursuit status reportsTrack customer engagements, opportunity milestones, and capture activitiesSupport executive leadership reviews and growth planning activitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Public Administration, Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of federal business development, capture management, account management, program management, or growth experienceMinimum of 5 years supporting U.S. Coast Guard, DHS, DoD, or related federal organizationsDemonstrated experience identifying, qualifying, and capturing federal opportunitiesStrong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and competitive procurementsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationshipsExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to travel in support of customer engagement and business development activitiesActive Secret ClearanceMinimum of 20 years supporting Coast Guard, DHS, DoD, or federal mission support organizationsFormer U.S. Coast Guard officer, senior enlisted leader, civilian leader, acquisition professional, or federal contractor supporting Coast Guard missionsExisting relationships within Coast Guard Headquarters, Coast Guard Logistics Centers, Coast Guard Systems Acquisition organizations, DHS Components, or related agenciesExperience supporting logistics, acquisition, readiness, engineering, supply chain management, sustainment, or mission support programsDemonstrated success winning opportunities valued at $5M-$50M+Experience supporting OASIS+, GSA MAS, DHS contract vehicles, IDIQs, and task order competitionsBenefitsCompetitive salaryBenefits401(k)Bonus and profit sharingFlexible hoursEducation reimbursementPTOCompany OverviewPeople-powered logistics & supply chain ingenuity for our Nation’s most critical missions.
