They are seeking a Senior Business Development Director to lead growth in their DoW portfolio, responsible for originating and winning new work while expanding the company's position with key mission buyers.ResponsibilitiesOriginate and qualify new opportunities across DoW, with emphasis on COCOMs, DSCA, and adjacent mission buyersGain early visibility into needs, influence demand, and create a preferred partner positionExpand Q2IMPACT’s footprint by introducing the firm to new clients, partners, and mission setsTranslate market insight into actionable growth strategies tied to revenue targets and portfolio expansionOwn the DoW pipeline end-to-end, including opportunity identification, qualification, and progressionMaintain a high-quality pipeline in CRM, with clear next steps, risks, and win probabilitiesDrive pipeline reviews, prioritization decisions, and resource alignment across pursuitsEnsure pipeline health supports forecast accuracy and growth targetsLead capture efforts end-to-end for DoW programs, from opportunity identification through proposal submissionDevelop and execute capture strategies that integrate customer intelligence, competitive positioning, relationship mapping, and win themesConvert ambiguous or early-stage opportunities into actionable pursuit plans with clear next steps, owners, and timelinesDrive pre-RFP shaping efforts, including requirement influence, relationship development, and early positioningLead internal gate reviews, bid/no-bid decisions, and capture planning activitiesStrengthen and formalize internal capture systems, workflows, and pursuit management practices to improve consistency and executionLead or directly support proposal development, ensuring alignment between capture strategy and submissionContribute to technical solutioning, management approaches, and win themes; write and/or oversee key sections as neededManage proposal execution from kickoff through submission when requiredEnsure proposals are compliant, competitive, and grounded in clear discriminator-based positioningBuild and maintain a strong network of primes, subcontractors, and other contractors relevant to Q2IMPACT’s DoW prioritiesIdentify and secure strategic teaming positions early in the pursuit lifecycle, whether as a prime or subcontractorAssess where Q2IMPACT is best positioned to pursue directly versus where partnership-based access is the strongest path to growthAlign teaming strategies with customer needs, vehicle access, and competitive positioningIdentify and pursue opportunities through OTAs, SBIR/STTR, and other non-traditional mechanismsSupport positioning of Q2Holodeck and related capabilities within innovation-driven procurementsAdvise leadership on how emerging acquisition models can be used to accelerate growth and differentiate offeringsSkills10+ years of experience in federal business development, capture management, or growth leadership within DoW or national security marketsDemonstrated track record of winning work and growing portfoliosDeep understanding of pre-RFP shaping, capture strategy, teaming, proposal support, and federal acquisition processesExperience identifying, leveraging, or pursuing IDIQs, GWACs, and other contract vehiclesExisting relationships within government, such as DSCA, COCOM J-codes, SCOs, Service components, or adjacent defense stakeholdersEstablished network across industry, including primes, subcontractors, and vehicle holders relevant to DoW services workExperience leading technical and cost proposal developmentStrong organizational, project management, and follow-through skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits without close day-to-day oversightAbility to lead and execute in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environmentExperience in security cooperation, AM&E, knowledge management, staffing support, or institutional support servicesExperience supporting or pursuing work with DSCA and/or COCOMsExperience with OTAs, SBIR/STTR, or other alternative acquisition pathwaysExperience in small to mid-sized federal contracting environmentsActive Secret clearanceBenefitsDomestic travel may be required; up to 25%The consultant will work in a professional office environment and will utilize standard office equipment, including a computer and telephone.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions in accordance with applicable law.Company OverviewAt Q2IMPACT, our commitment to excellence is unwavering.
