As a Senior Business Analyst - Benefit Plan Administration, you will play a critical role in coordinating a team, bridging communication between clients and technical staff, and improving business processes to meet client goals in the healthcare sector.ResponsibilitiesHelp coordinate a business analyst teamโs duties and activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and supportBe a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impactWork with the client to develop business specs at the start of a technical projectAnalyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve business processes to support clientโs technology goalsHelp verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test resultsExercise your ability to use basic analytical or relational database software โ such as Excel or SQL โ to quantify the anticipated impact of workSkills6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Healthcare industry including 5+ years of Medicaid and Medicare experienceExperience documenting requirements for claims, reference, and Benefits Plan Administration (BPA) areasExperience with claims testingKnowledge of how edits and audits work and how to configure themKnowledge of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processingAdvanced proficiency in analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and requirement-mapping tools (e.g., ALM)Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skillsStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in team environmentsStrong client communication skills, with the ability to translate needs into actionable objectivesStrong executive presence and communication skills, effectively delivering messages to business leaders, clients, and technical teamsProven leadership ability, motivating others to action and simplifying complex technical conceptsBenefitsGenerous, flexible vacation policyEducational assistanceComprehensive health benefits401(k) employer matchA variety of leadership and technical development academies to help build your skills and capabilitiesCompany OverviewGainwell Technologies is a provider of Information Technology & Services.
