[Remote] Senior AWS Cloud Engineer (AWS AI Buildout)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CDW is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for supporting their client's AWS AI buildout, requiring financial industry experience. This role involves implementing functional and security requirements for application teams to safely consume enterprise AI services.ResponsibilitiesCollaborative Architecture: Partner closely with the application team on the overall design of the AI platformTerraform Module Development: Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform modules that application teams will use to provision and manage the platformDocumentation & Testing: Author comprehensive technical documentation and robust test cases for all developed modules to ensure smooth handoffsService Hardening: Work alongside the corporate Security Team to run AI services through strict enterprise hardening processes (e.g., managing how services like Amazon SageMaker are consumed)Financial Controls: Implement specific security and functional requirements to meet financial compliance frameworks, specifically NIST and the Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM)SkillsCandidates MUST have financial industry/environment experienceAWS Cloud Expertise: Strong, enterprise-level experience engineering within AWS environmentsAI Expertise: Practical experience deploying and configuring cloud-based AI services and workflows (e.g., Bedrock, SageMaker)Infrastructure as Code: Proven capability in building scalable Terraform modules for multi-team consumptionGraph Databases: Direct experience working with and integrating graph databasesFinancial Compliance (non-negotiable): Prior experience working within regulated environments requiring alignment with NIST or CCM frameworksSeasoned & Autonomous: Proven ability to operate as a self-driven engineer who can navigate ambiguity and deliver with limited formal requirementsCross-Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills to act as the bridge between the core Cloud/Platform team, the Security team, and the App teamsBenefits100% remoteW2 onlyCompany OverviewAt CDW, we know how to make technology work so people can do great things.
