[Remote] Senior Associate Sourcing Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harbor is looking for a Consultant to join their growing Vendor Governance + Sourcing (VG+S) team, which provides procurement services to manage vendor governance lifecycle. The role involves supporting the Sourcing and Advisory team by facilitating requirements gathering, conducting data analysis, and developing strategic solutions.ResponsibilitiesWork internally with cross-functional teams as well as externally with clients to facilitate requirements gatheringConduct informational interviews and data analysis to assess procurement functionsLeverage internal intellectual property and research to support a point of view on best practicesPlay a key role in creating and delivering presentations throughout consulting engagementsGenerate creative, strategic solutionsDevelop project plans to facilitate implementationSupport ad hoc practice operations and business development projects, as neededSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain or OperationsAt least 3 years of relevant experience in a procurement related role or consulting team-oriented environment focused on strategic sourcing, procurement, process improvement, and/or project managementFunctional knowledge of procurement processes, procurement related technology, and experience in client interaction will be strongly consideredPermanent U.S./Canadian work authorization10-20% travel may be required (domestic or international)Proven analytical and quantitative skills to support financial and operational analysis and researchCritical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities related to identifying opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and risk mitigationExceptional organizational, oral, and written communication skillsCollaborative and adaptable in a team-based environmentProven abilities in strategy development, process mapping and documentation, process improvement, change management, and implementationSelf-starter with independent research capabilities, willingness to learn, and maintain knowledge of industry best practicesGeneral knowledge around procurement related functions including strategic sourcing, contract review, buying, vendor due diligence, and/or procurement technologiesExceptional computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
