Remote Senior Architect, IT Infrastructure - American Airlines

As a Senior Architect, IT Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to maintain and enhance our environments, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and software development. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to define approach and requirements, develop and drive high-degree strategic responsibilities, and provide technical guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the technical approach of software and system design of our cloud infrastructure
Maintain and enhance Kubernetes workload and SAAS artifacts with automation in focus
Collaborate with product management, business analysts, developers, testers, and architectural teams to define approach and requirements
Develop and drive high-degree strategic responsibilities and secure commitment from external and internal stakeholders for new initiatives
Provide technical guidance, direction, and recommendations to teams developing custom and off-the-shelf internet applications and services
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
2+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice framework/REST development
3+ years of experience supporting critical middleware applications
Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and software development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
Technical leadership experience
Experience with HELM charts, TDD, and BDD concepts
Familiarity with PCI compliance standards
